I am writing in support of Lawrence Guillen’s Linear Motion 120 therapy device and to recommend its use for total knee replacement therapy, in addition to physical therapy. The Linear Motion 120 device has been approved by the FDA as a Class 1 medical device.

Physical therapy following my total knee replacement positively enhanced using this device. I was able to control both flexion and extension with minimal discomfort and obtained 125-degree flexion in early sessions. I have seen continuous improvement with each session and am now up to 140+ degrees flexion. I felt I had better flexion and extension, without pain, then when I was physically manipulated during therapy. Using this device has also encouraged and improved overall movement, pain control, and healing. I strongly believe that using this device after surgery greatly benefited me and I would personally recommend its use to others. I feel the earlier this device can be used, safely and with doctor approval, the more rapid and successful the recovery.

On May 14, 2024, I had a full total knee replacement on my left leg. Starting the next week after, Lawrence Guillen brought his machine out twice a week for about six weeks. It helped my knee tremendously. Yet while it was easy to use and easy on my leg. Physical therapy was very hard on me let alone trying to travel into town twice a week. I am going to have to get a knee replacement on my right knee soon. I will be using the Linear Motion 120 machine again. I will be in touch with Lawrence.
